Yamilette Tavarez – Group leader at Wellness Center for Adolescent Development of the Urban Health Plan, Inc.

Yamilette is a student at The College of New Rochelle majoring in Communication Arts with a minor in Business. For the past three years she has been a group leader at a community based pregnancy prevention program for teenagers in the South Bronx.

“Working with adolescents has been the best working and learning experience,” she says. “I hope to make a difference in people’s lives no matter how big or small.”
